Burn captions into video: common questions
Can I use my own font?
Yes. In the Font panel tap Add custom font and pick a .ttf or .otf file from your phone. It appears in your font list and works like any other font, including in exported videos.
Will the captions be part of the video?
Yes. "Video with captions" draws them into the frames, so they show everywhere: Instagram, YouTube Shorts, WhatsApp and any player.
Can I add soft subtitles instead?
Yes. Choose "Captions only" to export a subtitle file such as SRT or VTT that viewers can switch on and off.
